Prerequisites:

• Virtually anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water can earn a PADI Open Water Diver certification.  If you are between the ages of 10-14 or have a child between these ages, there is a PADI Junior Scuba Diver program available.

Course Content:

• Throughout the course, you’ll learn fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques.   You can earn this rating by completing five pool dives and five knowledge development sessions and by making four open water ocean dives on the beautiful reefs and wrecks surrounding Barbados.

This course usually takes 4 days to complete.
Day 1 & 2 – Read book and watch DVD.
Day 3 & 4 – Academic sessions, quizzes and final exams, 5 confined dives and 4 open water dives.

Equipment provided:
All standard diving equipment including, BCD, regulator, fins, snorkel, weight system and wetsuit.
